Russian visa after booking St. Petersburg shore excursions

The foreign tourists (with exception of some countries) must have a visa to stay in Russia. But there is one exception. The cruise ship passengers who booked St. Petersburg shore excursions can stay without visa for 72 hours. The tourists coming only by cruise ships can do it if they buy a tour in some licensed tour operator like Aventura Travel.

According to the Russian Law the cruise ship passengers have to stay (if they don`t want to get Russian visa) with the company representative who is a tour guide. In case they want to drop off by themselves thy need to contact the Russian embassy and in 15 days will get it by about 100 USD.
